KumaravyasaBharata : Aranya Parva - Part 2
Arjuna on other hand, mesmerized by the hunter's billu vidya, wonders, if he is Surya or Shiva's son Karthikeya or vishnu or Shiva himself in disguise. When one of Arjuna's arrow wounds shiva, shiva rebukes him with a tough one back which causes Arjuna fall to ground bleeding miserably from mouth and ears. At his fall, Shiva has a guilt pang, wondering if he went too far in teaching his beloved son a lesson. With that blow, Vyasa says, Arjuna's pride and ego mountain crashed. The last one, he had to overcome to attain the divyastra from shiva. Arjuna cant believe his defeat. For a moment he doubts, if he is Kunti's son. He goes into self pity mode, and wonders if he ever did knowingly or unknowingly in this or previous janmas, any deeds, which did spoil someone else's dharma or which angered Shiva Bhakta. He wonders, If for now, did he do Shiva dhroha, by engaing in a bow and arrow fight with a mere hunter in the middle of his hard tapas. He immediately, does a shiva idol from sand, and starts to pray him, mind and soul, by gathering all flowers around. He requests Shiva, through his prayer, to give him power to overcome this hunter. But when he turns around to fight back again, he notices all his pooja flowers were on hunter's head.
9) Lord Shiva grants his Nija roopa Darshana along with Gowri to Arjuna. Shiva grants him two weapons, and parvathi grants one weapon. Both explain each weapon's use, upashamana mantra, effect and need to be used if it has to be used.
a) *Brahmashira Astra* - 4 times more powerful than Brahmastra (4 heads of brahma). Drona and Ashwatama are the only other two who would know how to use this. Arjuna requests himself for this weapon.
b) *PashuPata Astra* - Can be discharged via Mind, Eyes, words or bow. Total destruction of enemy irrespective of enemys nature. Neither of the Devas like indra, Kubera, Varuna , Yama or Vayu know how to use this. It should never be used against a inferior enemy which might destroy whole universe if done so.
c) *Anjanastra* - She explains, that when Arjuna invokes this weapon, the weapon will be come in front of him and requests for his order and it can destroy lakhs and crores of enemies at a shot.

10) Varuna, Kubera, Yama, Sachi Deva and Indra all come down to see Arjuna who won over the blessings and weapons of Shiva. They go on to give their weapons to Arjuna by being pleased with his victory. *Indira* grants *Indrastra*, *Varuna* grants *Sammohanastra*. Indira, his father, hugs his son Arjuna, and requests him to come to Amaravathy to rest for a while after the difficult tapas he just went through. By thanking Indrakeela Parvatha, Arjuna travels in Indira's chariot to Amaravathy and feels humbled to get this bestowed upon him. Indra asks Arjuna to be ready for a ride which travels in Vayuvega to Devaloka, and Arjuna asks him to explain the different lokas.
11) Indira's sarathi explains the universe to him. Near earth, are other lokas like Atala, Vitala, Sutala, talaatala, Mahatala and Paatala. Each of these 7 lokas are 10 thousand yojanas away. Bhuloka is the best of all these 7 lokas. Above them, Bhuvarloka, Suvarloka, Maholoka, Tapoloka and above all is Satya Loka in that order. Satya Loka is Sarvottama Loka, the loka of God. Bhumi is borne by Adishesha, His weight is borne by Kamata, their weight is borne by Adi Shakti. All Good deed humans (Gandharva, Siddharu, Rishigalu etc) twinkle as Nakshatra in Nakshatra loka.
Arjuna sees them all. Arjuna sees Airavatha. Punya karya mahatva, who gets to go to swarga (Japa, Yagna, Jnaana, Tappasu dedicated ppl) etc. Indira shows him various great ppl around in swarga like Dayamoorthi (compassion towards every living being), Nirmala Satyabhaashita (One who hurts none and talks truth always), Theerthavihari (travelled all punya kshetras), Sajjana, Sadguna, Nirmatsara , Asooyaateeta, Ati-vipra-poojaka (respected and worshiped all brahma jnaanis), Maata-pitara-bhakta, Vaidhika-karma-nishta. Indira introduces Self glowing stars at north side of Swarga like Bharata, Nala, Harishchandra next to him is Puru, Nahusha, Dileepa,Raghu, Dasharatha, Shantanu. Arjuna seeks blessings of all, and touches swarga loka. Indira, so proud of his son, makes him sit next to him on his very own simhasana. This blessing is bestowed upon someone who performs 100 Ashwamedha yaga, but here is Arjuna, who has done none of that sort and still is blessed of blessed to enjoy this blessing.
