Adhyaya - 2, Saankhya Yoga Chapter of Gita (here after referred as BG) - In this chapter, Arjuna surrenders as Krishna's disciple and seeks guidance to help him come out of his dilemma. Krishna explains the mortal nature of human body, immortal eternal Soul and the differences between the two. Krishna also explains the true nature of selfless service and the qualities of a man who has realized the eternal nature of the soul.
This chapter could be briefly grouped under below contexts:

1. Atma Nithyate - Eternal nature of Soul
BG:
Here Krishna says: Just as the embodied soul continuously passes from childhood to youth to old age, similarly, at the time of death, the soul passes into another body. The wise are not deluded by this.
ದೇಹಿನೋಽಸ್ಮಿನ್ ಯಥಾ ದೇಹೇ ಕೌಮಾರಂ ಯೌವನಂ ಜರಾ ।
ತಥಾ ದೇಹಾಂತರ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ತಿಃ ಧೀರಸ್ತತ್ರ ನ ಮುಹ್ಯತಿ ॥ 2-13॥
In below verse, Krishna says: Of the transient there is no endurance, and of the eternal there is no cessation. This has verily been observed by the seers of the truth, after studying the nature of both.
ನಾಸತೋ ವಿದ್ಯತೇ ಭಾವಃ ನಾಭಾವೋ ವಿದ್ಯತೇ ಸತಃ ।
ಉಭಯೋರಪಿ ದೃಷ್ಟೋಽOತಃ ಸ್ತ್ವನಯೋ ಸ್ತತ್ತ್ವದರ್ಶಿಭಿಃ ॥ 2-16॥
In below verse, Krishna says: That which pervades the entire body, know it to be indestructible. No one can cause the destruction of the imperishable soul.
ಅವಿನಾಶಿ ತು ತದ್ವಿದ್ಧಿ ಯೇನ ಸರ್ವಮಿದಂ ತತಮ್ ।
ವಿನಾಶಮವ್ಯ ಯಸ್ಯಾಸ್ಯ ನ ಕಶ್ಚಿತ್ ಕರ್ತುಮರ್ಹತಿ ॥ 2-17॥
In below verse, Krishna says: Only the material body is perishable; the embodied soul within is indestructible, immeasurable, and eternal. Therefore, fight, O descendant of Bharat.
ಅಂತವಂತ ಇಮೇ ದೇಹಾಃ ನಿತ್ಯಸ್ಯೋಕ್ತಾಃ ಶರೀರಿಣಃ ।
ಅನಾಶಿನೋಽಪ್ರಮೇಯಸ್ಯ ತಸ್ಮಾದ್ ಯುಧ್ಯಸ್ವ ಭಾರತ ॥ 2-18॥
MK:
ಮೃತ್ಯುವಿಂ ಭಯವೇಕೆ? ದೇಶಾಂತರಕ್ಕೊಯ್ವ ।
ಮಿತ್ರನಾತಂ; ಚಿತ್ರ ಹೊಸದಿರ್ಪುದಲ್ಲಿ ।।
ಸಾತ್ವಿಕದಿ ಬಾಳ್ದವಂಗೆತ್ತಲೇಂ ಭಯವಿಹುದು? ।
ಸತ್ರ ಹೊಸದಿಹುದು – ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ।। 835 ||

“Why should one fear death, when he is a dear friend who takes us away from this land to a new territory. Its a new world out there with new energy and challenges. When a person has lived a pious life, there shouldn't be any such fear. Death is not an end but a beginning for a new chapter” – Mankutimma
2. Brahma Vastu and its relation with world
BG:
Krishna says : The soul is spoken of as invisible, inconceivable, and unchangeable. Knowing this, you should not grieve for the body.
ಅವ್ಯಕ್ತೋಽಯಮಚಿಂತ್ಯೋಽಯಮ್ ಅವಿಕಾರ್ಯೋಽಯಮುಚ್ಯತೇ ।
ತಸ್ಮಾದೇವಂ ವಿದಿತ್ವೈನಂ ನಾನುಶೋಚಿತುಮರ್ಹಸಿ ॥ 2-25॥
Krishna says: O scion of Bharat, all created beings are unmanifest before birth, manifest in life, and again unmanifest on death. So why grieve?
ಅವ್ಯಕ್ತಾದೀನಿ ಭೂತಾನಿ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಮಧ್ಯಾನಿ ಭಾರತ ।
ಅವ್ಯಕ್ತನಿಧನಾನ್ಯೇವ ತತ್ರ ಕಾ ಪರಿದೇವನಾ ॥ 2-28॥
MK:
ಮರ ತನ್ನ ಹೆತ್ತ ಬೀಜವನಿಲ್ಲವೆನಿಸಿ ವಿ- ।
ಸ್ತರಿಸುವಂದದಿ, ಸೃಷ್ಟಿ ತನ್ನ ಮೂಲವನು ॥
ಮರೆಮಾಚಿ ತಾನೆ ಮೆರೆಯುತ್ತಿಹುದು ಕಣ್ಗಳಿಗೆ ।
ನೊರೆ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿ ಪಾಲ್ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮ – ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ॥ 75 ॥
mara tanna hetta beejavanu illavenisi
vistarisuvandadi srushti tanna moolavanu
maremaachi taane mereyuttihudu kanngaLige
nore shrusti Pal brahma - Mankutimma
“Like how a tree which grows wide and tall expanding its foliage makes the original seed disappear, so is the creation hiding its origin to our eyes. When our eyes can catch only the outer foamy cream of milk, which is the creation, the actual milk is the Creator - Brahma” – Mankutimma
3. Phalapekshe bayasada Karma - Selfless service
BG:
Krishna says : You have a right to perform your prescribed duties, but you are not entitled to the fruits of your actions. Never consider yourself to be the cause of the results of your activities, nor be attached to inaction.
ಕರ್ಮಣ್ಯೇವಾಧಿಕಾರಸ್ತೇ ಮಾ ಫಲೇಷು ಕದಾಚನ ।
ಮಾ ಕರ್ಮಫಲಹೇತುರ್ಭೂಃ ಮಾತೇ ಸಂಗೋಽಸ್ತ್ವಕರ್ಮಣಿ ॥ 2-47॥
Krishna says: Be steadfast in the performance of your duty, O Arjun, abandoning attachment to success and failure. Such equanimity is called Yoga.
ಯೋಗಸ್ಥಃ ಕುರು ಕರ್ಮಾಣಿ ಸಂಗಂ ತ್ಯಕ್ತ್ವಾ ಧನಂಜಯ ।
ಸಿದ್ಧ್ಯಸಿದ್ಧ್ಯೋಃ ಸಮೋ ಭೂತ್ವಾ ಸಮತ್ವಂ ಯೋಗ ಉಚ್ಯತೇ ॥ 2-48॥
Krishna says: Seek refuge in divine knowledge and insight, O Arjun, and discard reward-seeking actions that are certainly inferior to works performed with the intellect established in Divine knowledge. Miserly are those who seek to enjoy the fruits of their works.
ದೂರೇಣ ಹ್ಯವರಂ ಕರ್ಮ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯೋಗಾದ್ ಧನಂಜಯ ।
ಬುದ್ಧೌ ಶರಣಮನ್ವಿಚ್ಛ ಕೃಪಣಾಃ ಫಲಹೇತವಃ ॥ 2-49॥
MK:
ಎಡರು ತೊಡರೆನಲೇಕೆ ? ಬಿಡಿಸು ಮತಿಗಾದನಿತ ।
ದುಡಿ ಕೈಯಿನಾದನಿತು; ಪಡು ಬಂದ ಪಾಡು ।।
ಬಿಡು ಮಿಕ್ಕುದನು ವಿಧಿಗೆ; ಬಿಡದಿರುಪಶಾಂತಿಯನು ।
ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಗೆ ದಾರಿಯದು – ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ।। 729 ||
Eduru todarenaLeke bidisu matigaadanita
dude Kainaadanitu padu banda paadu
Bidu mikkadanu vidhige bidadiru upashaamtiyanu
bidugadege daari adu - Mankutimma
“Why complain of obstacles, instead give your best, solve the hurdles at the maximum limit of your intellect, work hard enough as per your strength, face the plights in the process but in the end leave the rest to Providence without losing your tranquility. This is the sure path for liberation” – Mankutimma
To stay undeterred despite unfavorable results to our hardwork - will only come when we consistently keep a check that we are in the right path of our work.
ಸೈನಿಕನು ನೀನು, ಸೇನಾಧಿಪತಿಯೆಲ್ಲಿಹನೊ! ।
ಆಣತಿಯ ಕಳುಹುತಿಹನದನು ನೀನರಿತು ।।
ಜಾಣಿನಧಟಿಂ ಪೋರು; ಸೋಲುಗೆಲುವವನೆಣಿಕೆ ।
ಕಾಣಿಸದನಾಳ್ಕೆಯದು – ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ।। 734 ||
sainika neenu sEnaadipathy ellihanO
aNatiya kaLuhutihanadanu neenaritu
JaaNinaDhatim pOru sOlu gelavu avana eNike
kaaNisada NaaLkeyadu - Mankutimma
“You are a soldier obeying an invisible commander. You should interpret his orders clearly to fight cleverly with valor. It's but him and not you, who evaluates the victory or defeat. His is an invisible authority” – Mankutimma
BG:

4. Stita Pragnana Lakshana - Qualities of a man who has a state of spiritual consciousness
BG:
Krishna says: The Supreme Lord said: O Parth, when one discards all selfish desires and cravings of the senses that torment the mind, and becomes satisfied in the realization of the self, such a person is said to be transcendentally situated.
ಪ್ರಜಹಾತಿ ಯದಾ ಕಾಮಾನ್ ಸರ್ವಾನ್ ಪಾರ್ಥ ಮನೋಗತಾನ್ ।
ಆತ್ಮನ್ಯೇವಾತ್ಮನಾ ತುಷ್ಟಃ ಸ್ಥಿತಪ್ರಜ್ಞಸ್ತದೋಚ್ಯತೇ ॥ 2-55॥
Krishna says: One whose mind remains undisturbed amidst misery, who does not crave for pleasure, and who is free from attachment, fear, and anger, is called a sage of steady wisdom.
ದುಃಖೇಷ್ವನುದ್ವಿಗ್ನಮನಾಃ ಸುಖೇಷು ವಿಗತಸ್ಪೃಹಃ ।
ವೀತರಾಗಭಯಕ್ರೋಧಃ ಸ್ಥಿತಧೀರ್ಮುನಿರುಚ್ಯತೇ ॥ 2-56॥
Krishna says: They are established in perfect knowledge, who subdue their senses and keep their minds ever absorbed in me. He is a stita Pragna, who do not become slaves for their senses but rather make their own senses slave to them.
ತಾನಿ ಸರ್ವಾಣಿ ಸಂಯಮ್ಯ ಯುಕ್ತ ಆಸೀತ ಮತ್ಪರಃ ।
ವಶೇ ಹಿ ಯಸ್ಯೇಂದ್ರಿಯಾಣಿ ತಸ್ಯ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞಾ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತಾ ॥ 2-61॥
MK:
ವಹಿಸು ಕೆಲ ಭಾರಗಳ; ಸಹಿಸು ಕೆಲ ನೋವುಗಳ ।
ಪ್ರಹರಿಸರಿಗಳನನಿತು ಯುಕ್ತಗಳನರಿತು ।।
ಮಹಿಯ ನಾಟಕದಿ ನೀಂ ಮನಸಿಟ್ಟು ಕುಣಿಕುಣಿದು ।
ವಿಹರಿಸಾತ್ಮಾಲಯದಿ – ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ।। 904 ||
vahisu kela bhAragaLa; sahisu kela nOvugaLa ।
praharisu arigaLanu anitu yuktagaLanu aritu ॥
mahiya nATakadi nIm manasiTTu kuNikuNidu ।
viharisu aatmAlayadi – Mankutimma ॥ 904 ॥
“Shoulder some responsibilities. Suffer some pain. Attack your enemies knowing the game. While doing so, never lose sight of right and wrong. Know that all these are the act and make sure to dance well in this drama of this world. Lead a happy dancing life in your palace of the soul.” – Mankutimma
